Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman holds a Honorary Chair in Psychology at the University of California Davis and is the Director of its Center for Public Policy Research. She was widely credited as the pioneer of modern studies of eyewitnesses' memory, and the role of children in witnessing. Professor Goodman published widely and has won numerous grants, and has been honored with several international and national distinctions. She has collaborated with numerous organisations and governments all over the world to conduct research and policies relating to child victims of the legal system. She works as a Consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of a variety of professional organizations which include the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is a member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She is the former president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
